Class Rules Art
Class Rules
1. Be on time and in your seat when the Bell rings.
2. Respect each other and each other’s property.
3. Only one person speaks at a time. If I am Talking, you are not.
4. Participate in class, that means you are working for the entire period
on ARTWORK.
5. Please clean up after yourself. Pitch in and help each other.
6. In order to remove any tools or supplies from the Art Room, you must
have my written permission.
7. Follow all the rules in the St. Mary’s Handbook
Generally, behave like mature young adults and you will be treated that way. Some tools you may be expected to use must be handled with care or you may injure yourself or others. If I cannot trust you to handle materials properly, than we will not be able to do some of the more exciting projects.
At the beginning of each period I need silence to take attendance, give instructions, do a demonstration, or there may be a lecture/lesson that day. When I am done you are free to move about the room, get supplies etc… You may talk quietly as you work, although this means you are still working and there is no horse play or fooling around. If you are talking, I expect your conversation to be quiet & appropriate. No talking across the room, bad language or inappropriate topics. At the end of the period I will let you know when it is time to clean up.
I think we can have a great year if we all cooperate and work together.
Thank you
Ms. Johns
